Farm & Fun Time on PBS and Other News

Updated: Oct 14, 2022

We had a crazy exciting and busy August! One very big and special announcement is that we were featured on Radio Bristol's Farm & Fun Time show which airs on PBS. Kris Truelson came and toured our farm and interviewed us. We got to see the show taped live on August 11th in the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. Not only was our farm featured, we got to see some amazing live music by Grammy-nominated musicians.

We were forced to suspend our U Pick last week due to our Zinnias and Sunflowers slowing down. Our dahlias, are thriving, though. We don't have enough to sustain both U Pick and Farmers Market. With the amount of rain we had, our Zinnias weren't too happy. They are desert flowers, after all. We are waiting on our last successions of sunflowers and pumpkins to mature. Hopefully we will have some great scenes for fall photography. We offer photography packages for $50 per hour and we provide props including hay bales, bouquets, and a vintage 1930's Oliver Row Crop tractor. Email us at benttreespringfarm@gmail.com or text/call us at (423)446-1066 for more information.

You can continue to catch us at the Jonesborough Farmers Market on Saturdays from 8 am-12 pm.

Austin is now accepting orders for hand-forged blacksmith Christmas gifts. Email/call/text for information on pricing and to place an order. Blacksmith lessons also make a great gift!

Guinea Fowl update: All was well with our guinea fowl until this past Saturday night. We were unable to get the guinea fowl up to roost for the night and something tragically picked off four of our 7 guinea fowl! Needless to say, we are heartbroken. We suspect it was coyotes. We are so disheartened, we really don't know what to do from here. We realize that these things happen, but it just feels so senseless.

Thank you for keeping up with us!
